Fusion Tapestries

A superb fusion between vintage Kantha and Suzani embroidery on display in each of these tapestries. Being part of our favourite products, showcasing multiple layers of recycling, starting their lives as Saris, each piece is a work of art, being made from multiple layers of old fabrics, kantha stitched together by hand and then repurposed into a useable thicker tapestry. All of this before the actual Suzani embroidery, as a central Asian handcraft, is applied that marries so extremely well with the pre-loved kanthas to create a concoction of colour, texture and design. You will find genuine patches and imperfections, adding to their irresistible charm.
